Student Admission Policy in University Colleges

Year 1999-2000

FIRST : ADMISSION CONDITION :

  1. If the student wants to apply for Arts, Education or Management and Information Colleges, he or she must have High School Certificate in Science or Arts with an average of more than 60% and above.
  2. If the student wants to apply for College of Engineering and Computer Science, he or she must have a High School Certificate in Science with an average of than 70% and above.
  3. If the student does not fulfill the above conditions and if he or she has some work experience or a training certificate or a high average in appropriate specialties, he or she can apply for admission.
SECOND : DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :
  1. Admission forms obtained from Ittihad University.
  2. Certified copy of the applicants School Certificate.
  3. Photocopy of the applicant’s passport including his or her resident visa if it is available.
  4. Certificate of good conduct.
  5. Recent color photograph.
  6. Handwitten letter certifying that the applicant will abide by the University rules and regulations.
THIRD : UNIVERSITY FEES :
  1. Application fees of Dhs 500, non – refundable when an applicant is accepted.
  2. Students have to pay Dhs 500 per credit hour and have to register in a minimum or 9 credit hours.
  3. Lab fees: Dhs 300 for course, which involves lab work.
  4. Internet fees: Dhs 220 for a Semester with unlimited usage.

Fees and Discounts :

    The student pays 500 Dhs application fee, it is nonrefundable if the student is admitted. It should be attached to the application form, but it is not part of the tuition fees.

    The student pays 500 Dhs for each credit hour; the minimum number of credit hours is 9. For instance, if a student wishes to finish his/her studies in four years, say in “Business Administration and Information Sciences” he/she pays 16000 Dhs annually, and the second is paid at the beginning of the second semester.

    The student pays 300 Dhs “Laboratory Fees” for each course that requires the use of a laboratory.

    The student pays 220 Dhs as fees for using the Internet per semester.

    The student whose brother/sister studies in the university get 25% discount on the total tuition fees he/she pays.
